Vipul "Vic" Patel - PharmD
Vic was raised and attended high school in Lancaster, SC before attending the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, Vic amassed countless work experience with Rite-Aid and Wal-Mart Pharmacy before founding Carolina Pharmacy in 2008. He is the owner of Carolina, Walker's and Lancaster Pharmacy, while also overseeing his many other investments in the local neighborhood. In his spare time, Vic likes to spend time with his close family and friends, and as a season ticket holder, attend as many Carolina Panthers games as possible.
Chirag "Chi" Patel - PharmD, MBA
Chi was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from Pharmacy School at Ferris State University in Michigan and began his professional career managing 24 hour Walgreen's Pharmacy stores. Searching for a way to better help patients, Chi joined Vic and has been with Carolina Pharmacy since its infancy. Chi oversees the day-to-day operations for the Carolina Pharmacy group of pharmacies and spends much of his time educating and marketing our services and capabilities to local physicians and community groups. As an avid Toronto sports fan, Chi catches as many matches as possible. He enjoys travelling, going out to new restaurants with friends/family and spending time with his newborn son.
Shailesh "Shay" Patel - BSc (Pharm)
Shay was born and raised in London, UK, where he attended Aston University for Pharmacy School. Over the past 25 years, Shay has worked as Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Trainer, Pharmacy Owner, and Pharmacy Consultant. He is a certified immunizer and oversees all of Medical Therapy Management (MTM) for all of our pharmacy patients. Shay also specializes in the procurement of the most affordable medications from various vendors to allow our pharmacies to remain the most cost-effective stores in our communities. In his spare time, Shay spends much of his time with his family and friends and enjoys the odd night out on town with his best mates!
Nitin Kesar, PharmD, MBA
Originally from India, Nitin graduated from South University in Columbia, SC with a PharmD and MBA in 2014. Nitin began his career in retail pharmacy, gaining knowledge and experience. His particular strengths are MTM and medication synchronization. His background helping run his own family's small business has taught him invaluable skills and the importance of customer service.
Eddie "Monty" Garrett, BS, Pharm.
Eddie was born and grew up in Rock Hill, SC. Upon graduating from Rock Hill High School he attended the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1977. He was first employed as a pharmacy intern at Goods Pharmacy in Rock Hill. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Eddie began his career as a pharmacist and store manager for Revco, working in various locations throughout the state. In 1985, he opened The Medicine Mart in Lancaster, SC, which he owned and operated until 2015. Eddie has seen many changes in pharmacy practice over his long career and we are fortunate to have him as a relief pharmacist at our South Carolina locations. In his spare time Eddie enjoys fishing and is an avid sports fan. He also fancies himself a decent banjo and guitar player.
Christina Spinaris, PharmD, PA-C
Christina is a part time staff pharmacist who splits her time between Walker's Drugstore and Carolina Pharmacy - Arboretum. What makes her special? Christina is also a Physician assistant (PA)!. As you can see, Christina loves going to school.
Christina is originally from Buffalo, NY and attended both Ohio Northern University for her undergraduate studies and doctorate of pharmacy, and Wingate University for her master's degree in physician assistant studies. Did we mention Christina loves to learn?
Her hobbies include playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, and reading.
